Not too long ago, Ford announced changes to its super duty line. A refreshed front fascia and was introduced along with a new 7.3 V8 N\/A gas engine. The 7.3 gas engine produces 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can still opt for the 6.2 V8 N\/A powerplant that produces 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Both gas engines are paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, the big news announced recently was the updated 6.7 Power Stroke. It now produces 475 hp and an amazing 1,050 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic transmission. These numbers are now at the top of the diesel class, beating #2 Ram\/Cummins by 75 hp and 50 lb-ft (and two gears).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ford.com\/cmslibs\/content\/dam\/vdm_ford\/live\/en_us\/ford\/nameplate\/superduty\/2020\/collections\/3-2\/20_FRD_FSD_45420.jpg\/_jcr_content\/renditions\/cq5dam.web.1280.1280.jpeg\" alt=\"Image result for 2020 ford super duty powerstroke\" width=\"1280\" height=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But what about towing and payload numbers? Well, Ford has got you covered. The new Power Stroke can now tow a class-leading 37,000 pounds when configured in the F-450 trim. The 6.2 gas engine is ahead of the competition with up to 7,850 pounds of max payload. Unlike the Ram Power Wagon, Ford Super Duty buyers will be able to choose from a new Tremor package which will give them the new Power Stroke diesel along with some off-road goodies such as 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires, new shocks, suspension, and additional skid plates. Power Wagon buyers will have to &#8220;settle&#8221; for the 410 hp 6.4 Hemi V8. It seems as though Ford has been focused on delivering unmatched capability in every area possible.
