After months of speculation that Dodge was readying a Charger Widebody and a few teasers, they have officially done just that today. Although no Redeye trim level was mentioned, the Widebody package is available on 485-horsepower Scat Pack and 707-horsepower Hellcat models, and on the latter trim level it replaces the narrow-body Hellcat. That’s right, for 2020, if you want a Charger Hellcat, it’s going to be a Widebody.

As far as changes go, the front fascia gets redesigned with a new air inlet between the upper and lower grilles and larger air intakes on the lower fascia. Just like the Challenger, the Charger Widebody is 3.5 inches wider than the standard car. The wheels are 11 inches wide wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires. Brembo brakes are standard with the Widebody package: 6 inches in the front, 4 inches in the rear.

The power levels remain unchanged in both cars, but the Scat Pack Widebody completes the sprint to 60 MPH in 4.3 seconds, while opting for the Hellcat brings that number down to 3.6 seconds. Likewise, both models are faster in the quarter mile, too: the Scat Pack Widebody reaches the quarter mile in 12.4 seconds and the Hellcat runs it in 10.96 seconds.

The Charger Widebody is available to order late this year and deliveries will start early next year. Pricing has not yet been announced.
