Many are being priced well above MSRP but that is not stopping some from purchasing a C8.<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 Corvette starts at just under $60,000. GM shocked the automotive world last July when this number came out. However, a source that spoke with Motor Trend stated that the C8 is not very profitable. According to the source, GM loses money on every 2020 Corvette that is priced under $80,000. The source has also stated that the starting MSRP of the new Corvette is going to increase with every new model year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2020-chevrolet-corvette-interior-1563488442-440x269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2020-chevrolet-corvette-interior-1563488442-440x269.jpg 440w, https:\/\/www.autobison.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2020-chevrolet-corvette-interior-1563488442.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The $60,000 starting price for the C8 was most likely put in place to attract customers. Starting the Corvette at $80,000 would likely scare some buyers, as the price jump from a C7 would be too substantial. This similar tactic may be used for the upcoming Z06 to lure more customers.
