Unlike a certain European show, the New York Auto Show is going to brave the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

With five weeks to go before the press preview days on April 8 and 9, the New York Auto Show organizers have announced that they are coordinating their efforts with state and local officials, and will beef up and surpass their usual flu-season efforts.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s venue, the Jacob Javits Center, has installed 70 hand-sanitizing stations, increased the cleaning rate of high-touch areas, provided information to key people, and maintained a team of paramedics with access to a first aid station during show hours (for all shows, not just the Auto Show). During the car show, vehicle detailers will use disinfectants and clean touch points on the cars more frequently.<\/span><\/p>\n
