AutoBison Stellantis (Chrysler) FCA and PSA Groupe to be called Stellantis

FCA and PSA Groupe to be called Stellantis

07/15/2020 Donovan Webb

Months after the finalization of the PSA and FCA merger back in December of 2019, Stellantis is the new, post-merger name. The new name will go into effect in the first quarter of 2021 and stems from the Latin verb “stello” meaning “to brighten with stars.”

A few of the many brands

Chrysler does have a past connection with stars. In 1962, they released the Pentastar logo. That logo represents a star that could be instantly recognizable and universal to all countries. Stellantis aims to take more of a market share with brands stemming from different countries across the globe.
